This really needs to be viewed full-size..you can even see some little birds up high in the tree that way
I've been meaning to take a photo of this tree for a while. I'd noticed it one day when I didn't have my camera with me. It's quite a ways from my home, but as we were heading over that direction this weekend anyway, I thought I'd take the camera and get some photos. It was sunny when we set out, so I had no idea we'd be seeing any rainbows. Anyway, as we walked around the area, I noticed a palpable mystical feeling about this tree, even before the rainbow appeared..it was like the tree could sense and appreciate our presence. Somehow, it was like the tree summoned the rainbow to thank us for stopping by. Is that possible? It seemed like that's what happened to me, and at the time, it didn't even really seem that strange..it seemed like communication.
Beautiful capture and you went at just the right time!!. Love the warm feel of the sun against the tree and grasses with the storm raining behind. The rainbow just adds to it giving that extra to make it a gorgeous photo. Well done!!

Beautiful picture, I love the way the sky is this very cold color and on top of it are these brilliantly warm objects. Every time I look at the picture there's something new to notice. A very good job!

Ditto *akai You were able to capture so much here There is such a warm feeling to the photo - perhaps it's the beautiful coloring in the grasses combined with the colors in the sky - the rainbow - the birds - everything. I certainly can see why you got the feeling that the tree was "speaking" to you . . . your description is wonderful
